What is Test & Tag?

Test and Tag is the process of visually inspecting and electrically testing portable appliances to ensure they are safe to use in the workplace. It is required under Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.


All businesses in Tasmania are required to have their electrical equipment tested regularly — failure to comply can result in serious fines and, more importantly, put your staff at risk.
